Cũng là cùng chỉ đơn vị hành chính nhỏ nhất văn hóa địa phương,
Ai thích vần ôn thì cứ gọi là thôn,
Còn như xứ Vũng toàn là người dân sống bằng một nghề đánh cá thì gọi thôn là làng...(*)

Có tình gia tộc xóm giềng bên nhau,
Cùng khốn khó, sáng ra biển đánh lưới thả câu,
Xế nhìn khói tỏa có nhau bữa chiều.
Làng tôi cũng lắm hộ nghèo,
Những ngày động gió thuyền neo cập bờ.
Đêm trăng người hát bộ kẻ làm thơ,
Én, nhàn...đón gió mộng mơ sóng tràn.
Vũng Nồm tôi những 2 thôn của làng,
Đông dân đảo rộng lấp đàng dốc cao,
Người quen hỏi tôi ở thôn nào?
Mình bảo Lý Chánh sóng gào năm xưa...(**)
Thuở ấy bãi có hàng dừa,
Hàng tra xen kẻ đẹp vừa mắt em.
Mới về thăm làng em đã vội sắp tên,
Bên anh họ Bạch muốn nên vợ chồng!
